Joël Ben-Yehoshua is a research assistant in the project.

In his dissertation he examines the dynamics involved in the discussion about anti-Semitism in the work of Johann Gottlieb Fichte (1762-1814) as well as the transformation and secularization of Christian hostility towards Jews in Fichte’s post-Enlightenment work. He studied physics (B.Sc.) and philosophy (M.A.) at Philipps University in Marburg and Universidad Complutense de Madrid. From September 2020 to July 2022, he was a research assistant with the Department of Research and Antisemitism Thuringia (RIAS Thüringen) at the Institute for Democracy and Civil Society (IDZ) in Jena, where he studied present-day anti-Semitism in Thuringia. He has been an affiliated scholar at IDZ since August 2022.
